Singapore and Kuala Lumpur sit close together geographically but deliver very different trips. Singapore is polished, efficient, and expensive by regional standards — $70-130/day mid-range. KL is looser, cheaper ($35-65/day), and just as multicultural, with genuinely excellent street food.
Flights between them run under an hour and often under $50, so it’s an easy add-on either direction if you want to see both ends of the spectrum on one trip.
